New Fendi x FRGMT x Pokémon collab introduces designer apparel and accessories, plus free avatar gear in Pokémon GO

Japanese streetwear designer Hiroshi Fujiwara’s label, fragment design, is teaming up with Italian luxury fashion brand Fendi for new Pokémon-inspired goods to celebrate the Year of the Dragon. Dratini, Dragonair, and Dragonite are the stars of the collection, appearing on t-shirts and sweatshirts, as jewelry, and alongside Fendi’s signature pattern on handbags and other leather goods. Fendi reports that the Dragonite figure, made entirely of leather and just under 16 inches tall, requires 30 hours of handcrafting, which is reflected in its $2,290 USD price tag.

“I have been in love with Japan for a long time; its influence on me and what I do is huge – Hiroshi is a major part of that,” said Fendi Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear Kim Jones. The collection, which includes men’s and women’s pieces, is available online at fendi.com and at select Fendi locations beginning January 4th.

While the luxury collection may be cost-prohibitive to the majority of Pokémon, Pokémon GO players can at least grab some Fendi-branded freebies for their avatars, also starting from January 4th, 2024 until January 4th, 2025. To receive a white Dragonite hoodie like the one featured in the real collection, Trainers will need to sign-in on the Pokémon GO Web store and then use the code FENDIxFRGMTxPOKEMON on the offer redemption page. Trainers near select Fendi retail locations where the new collection is available will also be able to make use of exclusive Fendi-branded PokéStops, which will give out t-shirt and hat avatar items when spun.
